They are designed to perform best at room temperature, but during shipping—especially in warmer climates, when left in a hot mailbox, or due to changes in pressure or elevation—extreme temperatures can cause them to soften or become “oily”. Similarly, in colder weather, the balm may harden if exposed to freezing temps. If your product has melted, you can give it a quick mix and pop it in the fridge to help it firm back up. We recommend allowing it to return to room temperature before opening or using it
